What Have we been up to?
Oct 28, 2013.
- Piano class is currently working on the piece When the Saints Go Marching In.
- Students learn about really important pianists too, like Chopin and Rachmaninoff.
- The students have now learned how to play three different chords.
- These chords can be tied together to form a chord progression.
- Chord progressions are what help create structure in songs.
- Already they have learned the song My Girl and Silent Night.
- Piano class will be getting into song writing next as a way to apply the theory and skills learned so far.
- Ask a GPA piano student what kind of scale the song My Girl uses.
- Stay tuned for some recording updates!
